Hi, I’m Katie Hamel, founder of Mental Edge Performance. I help women build strength, stability, and confidence so they can stay independent, capable, and active for years to come. My approach goes beyond workouts—I combine evidence-based strength and conditioning with sport and performance psychology to help you not only train your body, but strengthen your mindset too.
I started Mental Edge Performance because I saw too many women feeling intimidated by fitness, stuck in cycles of inconsistency, or unsure how to train safely and effectively as they age. Strength isn’t just about lifting heavier—it’s about resilience, balance, confidence, and trusting your body to do what you ask of it.
Whether you’re struggling to stay motivated, unsure where to start, or tired of programs that don’t fit your life, I meet you where you are. Together, we build sustainable habits, clear goals, and a plan that supports both your physical and mental performance.
My mission is simple: to help women in the Capital District and Saratoga County move better, feel stronger, and live life on their own terms.
